The list of terrorised countries in the world was released in the 2016 Global Terrorism Index report by the Institute for Economics and Peace and it ranks countries based on their rates of terrorism effects.
Nigeria placed in the 3rd rank with a score of 9.314, having more death cases recorded than injured casualties.
On 13th of August 2015, Assailants opened fire on residents in Kukuwa-Gari village. Villagers were killed by gunfire or drowning in a nearby river, killing at least 174 people.
On 13th of January 2015, Assailants opened fire on a meeting of vigilantes in Zamfara state. At least 107 people were killed and an unknown number of others were injured in the assault.
15th March 2015, Assailants attacked residents and buildings in Egba village, killing at least 95 people.
Between these three months, a total of about 376 lives were lost not including the numerous not counted.

Nigeria was also excluded from countries with the largest proportional increase in deaths from terrorism, 2014 - 2015.
